After 13 seasons as a full-time cast member on Real Housewives of Orange County, Bravo demoted Vicki Gunvalson to a “friend of the cast” ahead of Season 14. As for her future on the hit Bravo series, Gunvalson says they will have to fire her if they want her to leave because she isn’t going anywhere.

During an appearance on Jerry O’Connell’s Jerry O show along with Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador, Gunvalson said that producer Scott Dunlop told her she shouldn’t “voluntarily get off the horse” unless they kick her off. And, she is “still on the horse” and riding the pony.

“I don’t know what my future is, but I’m having fun and they’re my friends,” explained Gunvalson. “I have much love for my franchise — a love for what I’ve created [and] a lot of love for my cast, we’ve been through hell and back. But truthfully, it’s our reality. It’s what my life has gone through for the last 14 years. And it’s been some bumpiness.”

Judge and Beador chimed in, speculating that Gunvalson’s demotion wouldn’t last, and she would be back next season as a full-time cast member because she will “always be the O.G.”

Gunvalson also revealed that Andy Cohen told her some encouraging words after her demotion, explaining that no one has lasted on a reality show for 14 years, and that’s something she should be proud of.

As for her feud with Kelly Dodd, Gunvalson recently posted a response on Instagram to Dodd’s interview with People Magazine where she said that both Gunvalson and Judge’s storylines are “stale.” Dodd said Gunvalson’s demotion was due to her surrounding herself with other people’s stories, and Judge will be the next one up for demotion.

Gunvalson responded by writing that she used to feel sorry for Dodd, but now she doesn’t because she is an “angry, volatile person.” She said that Dodd’s storylines are “fake” and explained that neither her nor Judge’s stories are stale because they are simply living their lives, which are evolving and changing.

Vicki Gunvalson says she is a successful business owner who inspires other women to be financially independent of a man, and Dodd’s only job is to find rich older men “who want an arm ornament.”
