Even though Todd and Kaela have shown in the past that their relationship is solid and they have also gone to a strip club together for the celebration of Kaela’s 23rd birthday, it seems that both father and daughter have problems in understanding each other sometimes.

In the last episode of the show, which aired on Sunday, Kaela claimed that the only emotion her father showed to her was anger. To back up her words, the 23-year-old gave as an example the time when Todd did not speak to her for a month because they fought for something.

According to Todd’s wife, Kandi Burruss, her husband and his daughter indeed had some communication issues, and the mother of three said she was worried that in time, Todd might have troubles in reaching out to their youngest child, Blaze Tucker, who was born in November this year.
Kandi also claimed that although her spouse was terrific with their 3-year-old son, Ace, she felt he could be hard on Kaela sometimes, but she did not dare to say anything because he was her biological father.

Kandi revealed: “Todd is amazing with [their son] Ace. And I feel like Todd can be hard on Kaela, but because that is his biological daughter. I just step back. And I don’t know if it’s because it’s a girl, but it stresses me because we have a girl on the way, and I do know that you have to treat them differently. You gotta handle them differently.”

Todd, on the other hand, promised he would try to treat Kaela better in the future. He first learned about her existence in 2011 after her mother told him he was the father of the young girl.
