Katherine Schwarzenegger is busy planning her wedding, and everyone is helping her out – including her fiance, Chris Pratt. Last weekend the 29-year-old bride-to-be opened up about her upcoming nuptials, and she said that the event is all about family.
“I feel like we’re all really involved in wedding planning this,” Schwarzenegger told Entertainment Tonight. “I think that you know, for me, my family is very involved. I’m very involved, [Chris is] very involved … So it’s a great combination of everything and just a really exciting and fun [time].”

Schwarzenegger added that she is “very happy,” and feels blessed and lucky.
After dating for seven months, the Guardians of the Galaxy star and author announced their engagement in January via social media. This will be Schwarzenegger’s first marriage, and the second for Pratt, who was married to Anna Faris for nine years before divorcing in 2017. They share a 6-year-old son named Jack.
Last month, at the premiere of The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, Pratt said that they still had a lot of details to figure out, and they were thinking about a fall or winter wedding date. But, one thing that is for sure, the couple’s Christian faith will be a significant part of their big day.
Pratt has actually come under fire for sharing his Christian faith on social media and in interviews, but the actor doesn’t shy away from his critics. When actress Ellen Paige shamed him for attending a church that was “infamously anti-LGBTQ,” Pratt responded by writing on Instagram that “nothing could be further from the truth,” and his church welcomes everyone.
He added that his church community was extremely supportive during his divorce, despite what the Bible says about ending a marriage. And, he says his church has done the same thing for others, “regardless of their sexual orientation, race, or gender.”

And, when he accepted his Generation Award at the 2018 MTV Music and TV Awards, Pratt told fans that he has nine rules for life. Three of those referenced his faith, including number six, where he explained that “God is real. God loves you, and God wants the best for you.”
He also told fans that nobody is perfect, even though people will tell you that you are perfect just the way you are. Chris Pratt explained that a powerful force designed us to be imperfect, but we can accept the gift of grace, and that shouldn’t be taken for granted.
